Outfit of the Day no.2

Top: Mango
Jeans: Topshop
Shoes: H&M
Necklace: Topshop
Makeup: Clinique Even better Wear foundation, body shop bronzer and Maxfactor mascara

Today was just a casual day, we went to town to try and get some last minute supplies for our trip away next week, the weather outside as awful so quickly shot these photos indoors. This is a go to look that I often wear, it's so simple, comfy but yet I still look relatively put together. I love that colour of blue and I think that colour of would suit anyone skin tone/ hair colour. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Clinique Even Better Foundation 01 Alabaster Review

Foundation is honestly my least favourite part of doing my makeup and I have wasted soo much money on foundations over the years which after a few times get stashed away never to be used again, but this foundation I have been using religiously for about 2 months and I love it! I use it with my Real Techniques Buffing brush and it goes on like a dream, the shade I use is 01 Alabaster which has a more pink undertone which claims to give a natural finish and is for very pale skin. This foundation lasts all day and does gives really good coverage whilst still feeling light on the skin. The information below is something I have copied from their website as I feel it describes the product perfectly

Formula: Liquid
Coverage: Moderate
New Even Better Foundation SPF15 oil free formula, a powerful foundation developed to help combat hyper-pigmentation and deliver brighter skin, both immediately and over time. Includes treatment benefits to help even skin tone and SPF protection to help prevent future hyper-pigmentation. Provides moderate to full coverage, leaving skin instantly perfected with a unique mineral blend.

Skin Types: All Skin Types

The picture below is of me first thing in the morning and I don't know if you can see but I have quite dark under eye bags and also pigmentation on my cheek and a spot on my jaw line. The second photo is after I have worn the foundation for over 8 hours as I was at work all day and to me it still looks flawless.

Time for a change-Avene Product Review

I recently decided to change up my skincare, mainly because the face wash and moisturiser I had been using were just not cutting it for me anymore, I used to use Garnier makeup remover, face wash and moisturiser but it was a constant battle of dry, oily, spotty skin and my face just never felt clean enough.
I decided I should spend a little bit more on my skin care, I went to boots and looked at multiple different brands that I have never even looked at before, not going to lie I was there for a loooong time and made the mistake of bringing my boyfriend with me (he was ready to knock the stand over) Luckily Boots were having a 3 for 2 and so made the fact I was going to up my spend on skincare a little easier.

I decided to go for a brand I have never used before called Avene or Eau Thermal Avene…not sure which one is right.
I picked up the Cleansing water which is for oily blemish prone skin, it claims to gently eliminate facial impurities and makeup and I have to say after using it for the fourth day in a row I am sold, my face has never felt so clean and soft. The bottle retails at around £15 but you get 400ml and I think this is going to last me a long time.

I next choose a new moisturiser, I couldn't decide between the Avene Rich Hydrating cream and the Light Hydrating cream as this can mean completely different things in different brands so I decided to buy both since it was 3 for 2 and then I could test them out. I have to say i love them both, I prefer to use the lighter one at night and the richer one during the day as it makes my foundation go on so smoothly. Both moisturisers retail for around £14 so again a little pricey but compared to other moisturisers I am using a lot less and it seems to be going a lot further. I don't know if this is just because it costs more and I'm subconsciously doing that.

Overall I am very impressed so far and hope to try more things from their range. I wanted to write this review as I had believed for years that cheaper brands were just as good but I have honestly proved my self wrong.

I would love to know what everyone else things of this brand?
